If I close my eyes and think of the Yucatan, color is everywhere I “look”. Huge flowers in reds, pinks and yellows so saturated they almost vibrate against the landscape; bright peppers and tomato salsas; jungle greens; hot blue sky; vivid tropical fish swimming in a clear, turquoise sea. Color is the medium. Mathew Boussina, who grew up in Tiburon and traveled his way around Latin America, has chosen to translate the Yucatan experience to , his breezy little San Anselmo café, where an interior washed in sunshine yellow and an outdoor deck splashed with flowered oil cloth tables both pulsate to the beat of Musica Cubana.
